Edmonton Oilers Empty Edmonton Oilers

Alright, Oilers fans. Let's have them win so they can put fuel in our cars.

The Edmonton Oilers were formerly known as the Alberta Oilers in the WHA in the 1972-73 season. After that, they switched to the Edmonton Oilers, and have stuck with it ever since. In total, Edmonton has won the 5 Stanley Cup championships in 1982–83, 1983–84, 1984–85, 1986–87, 1987–88, 1989–90, and 2005–06. The Oilers are in last place in the Pacific Division right now, but the fans stay faithful, even though they only won 25 games so far this season. One of the most famous hockey players in the entire NHL played for the Oilers and won the Cup with them, and he goes by the name of Wayne Gretzky, otherwise known as "The Great One." Will Edmonton ever make it to the playoffs? Will Andrew Ference do something to help get his team where he wants them? Discuss!
